Lichtenstein’ed the Lichtenstein { Art Exhibit }

Lichtenstein  |  Chicago  |  Exhibit  |  Pop Art

His exhibit is here in Chicago! It’s one of the largest group of his works ever assembled. A full breath of his process, interests, and ambitions are on display. Including more than 160 drawings, paintings, and sculptures, Roy Lichtenstein: A Retrospective is perpetuating the creative cycle. Go, be inspired, create something.

Amp’ed up on inspiration mojo, I was looking back at the exhibit while waiting for the EL and saw an opportunity: So, I Lichtenstein’ed the Lichtenstein.

Yes, according to my friends, family and life of studying it, I consider myself a fine artist. It sounds so pretentious, but I’ve come to terms with it. Fine Artist isn’t my day job, but it feeds my never stopping creative mind. When you get into drawing your mind zones in and opens up to thinking of possibilities that don’t exist yet. Angles you haven’t seen or even explaining yourself more accurately than using words. Everyone has their own creative process, this piece has to be skipped most days for me. So when I have time to sketch and capture a portrait or figure, I find my work is at it’s best. Ever tried it? Ya should!

The time and energy that goes into portraiture can range 30mins to 15 hours.
